Intermittent Fasting

I’m not much of a diet person. I say if God leads to do a particular diet, do it. But if He doesn’t, just stick with what you know to do. Eat right, exercise, and get your rest. Three basic things that always work.  Most diets are like most denominations, there’s always just one thing missing. Lately I’ve been learning more and more about Intermittent Fasting. It’s not a diet. It’s really a revelation that we always knew but just never put it to practice. And that is... fasting and it’s biblical. Something we’ve learned about for years in church but never tied it to a consistent plan for weight loss. The thing I’m finding is, fasting can be a lifestyle. Yep, a lifestyle. The amazing thing about Intermittent Fasting is that it’s just a matter of structuring your day so that you’re eating within a certain time frame, and fasting for the hours outside of that time frame. For example: Between 10am and 6pm, you eat your normal breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Maybe a few snacks in between, maybe. And from 6pm until 10am you’re not eating at all, resting, and probably falling to sleep eventually. A lot of you have heard about the Keto Diet. This is another way for your body to go into ketosis - where you are burning fat and producing more energy.

Just remember, like all fasts, keep it between you and the Lord. This is such a great way to discipline your self physically and spiritually.
